Reiki - Universal Life Energy Reiki is a laying on of hands practice which is used to channel healing energy. This potential is in every one of us, but Reiki only manifests when passed on from a Reiki master through attunements. When one receives attunements from a Master Reiki teacher, the channels of energy are opened and aligned therefore allowing the individual to channel the healing light of Reiki. Daydree’s attunements have been passed on to her through the lineage of the Dalai Lama. MyOshun offers healing Reiki sessions with Daydree, a certified Reiki practitioner. Moments later while in the ward with various doctors and nurses discussing my treatment, I was suddenly struck by an inexplicable sense of euphoria and calm. I asked some of the nurses if this was normal. They seemed puzzled and amused because it’s not normal. “Most people feel anxious when they’re about to get stitches on such a deep wound!” one said and I had to agree. How was it I felt so relaxed and happy? Afterwards when I met Daydree in the waiting room, she informed me she’d been sending me distance Reiki and everything suddenly made sense. I asked her when she started this process and indeed it was the exact time I remembered feeling the inexplicable sense of calm and comfort. Daydree gave my sister and I a Goddess reading last summer. The counsel of my reading was to 'be brave and strong and you will prevail in the challenges that lie ahead'. My sister and I were silent upon hearing this. You see, I had not shared with Daydree that I was in the middle of a traumatic and contentious divorce. I was overwhelmed, devastated, afraid, and ready to walk away from everything (however unfair that would have been to myself) because I was so exhausted from it all.
